We are bringing forward completely new tours for 2022.

Our stay and tour offer is based on two ( or four in the case of our Harris suite) people staying for two nights with us at Parkhead House and having a one day Outlander tour on the day after their 1st night with us.

Please use the "Book a Room" button above and choose the dates you wish to stay, the room you wish to book, and book using the drop down "Stay and Tour" rate - simple, or just drop us an email and we can book it for you.

With all our tours we organise any required entry tickets for venues in advance, sometimes this may mean we have to make last minute changes to plans/routes to be somewhere at a certain time but unlike some other tour companies our day is taken at your pace and we can change our plan as the day goes on.  As you are staying with us we can stay out late (even on a "school night"). Our days are always planned around what you wish to see, so are all bespoke day trips like no other!

1. Our most popular Outlander day trip:

Starting at Parkhead House first thing after breakfast we visit Abercorn Church where we can find the grave of Frank Randell, then a short hop to Midhope Castle "Lallybroch". You will be guided around so you won't miss anything and we will have all the time in the world for photos on the steps. We also have private access to the rear of the castle so can let you see some exciting views other visitors don't.

After Midhope we travel not too far for our visit to Blackness Castle. This followed by a quick stop at Linlithgow Palace. Then we head back to Hopetoun House. We end the day with a wee trip over to Culross and a walk up the hill to the "Black Kirk". A stop for a wee drink and we are back to Parkhead House in time for bed.......

2. A longer day out:

This time after breakfast we are heading north to Inverness and Culloden Moor! A long day out indeed but well worth the trip. If you were not planning on travelling that far north yourself why not consider a day trip from Parkhead House? This will be a long day (around 12 hours or so) but you will see amazing views all the way there. We will make plenty of stops on route (of course Pitlochry and House of Bruar) so please make a list of all the things you may wish to see!

3. A wee step into "the Highlands":

So, you want to see "the Highlands" but you are looking for an easy day trip from Edinburgh? Why not take our tour from Parkhead House, via Stirling to Doune, then head north to Loch Kathrine and an adventure to find "Craig Na Dun"? A lovely wee road trip through
